YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea - United States Forces Korea commander Gen. Walter Sharp and his wife Joanne Sharp visited the Yongsan Library during the Thanksgiving Story Hour Nov. 21 to read to children. In the Thanksgiving spirit, they read "Run, Turkey, Run" by Diane Mayr and "A Turkey for Thanksgiving" by Eve Bunting.

"I have a great love of reading, and I want to encourage reading for others as well," said Joanne Sharp. "It's always nice to come down here and read for children."

She stressed the importance of getting children in the habit of reading. "Because it's Thanksgiving, I thought the children would be more familiar with the occasion. It's an excellent opportunity."

Refreshments were served, featuring traditional Thanksgiving goodies.
